After reading this I reread my post to try and determine where I could have
possibly began to mislead you so......and really couldn't figure it out!
My post was in response to a previous authors which states, unequivocally,
that brfed babies need to eat more frequently than bottle fed babies or
specifically EBM bottle fed babies.
I don't agree with this and felt that I needed to support it with an example.
It is a big leap from improving the effectiveness of a feeding which then MAY
satiate the baby for longer intervals between feeds, to placing the baby on a
schedule.
EZZO instructs parents to feed the baby at specific intervals and no closer,
regardless of the babie's needs. I am suggesting that the parents address the
"problem" (again, assuming it is a problem for THEM) from the other end; by
using the many techniques we all know (hopefully) to improve fdng
effectiveness. IME, very often this naturally lends itself to a greater
intake at each feed and thus longer intervals between feeds. Is this always
the case?-of course not! But more often than not, it is an effective tool for
parents that feel they need one.
Your association of me with EZZO and scheduling has left me reeling since I
fear many Lactnetters may not have seen my former post  and thus are faced
with your conclusion only.
