I am not at home at present and don't have access to charts easily
but I do wonder is this really a problem?

Is the baby being plotted on the correct charts so the baby's weight
curve can be seen?

Has the baby dropped more than 2 centile spaces?

If the baby's weight *is* cause for concern, then feeding more often
(rather than trying to prolong the feeding sessios) including at
night is a good first step, followed by switch nursing if needed and
breast compressions if needed....but any of these has got to be
better than mixing powdered formula with breastmilk (have said before
this would be seen as unsafe in the UK because formula has to mixed
with water of no less than 70 deg C).
