Hi. I have a close friend (*daughter of a college roomate) in Philly who
is due in May with her first baby, and would like to have some private
recommendations of midwife and ob practices that have a holistic model, and
are not quick to do procedures and interventions just for the purpose of
teaching the residents. I am not against learning, but this friend of mine
would like to have a safe, natural, birth, with as few interventions as
possible, and not with a practice that rushes you at your first visit. We
have seen practices where we have lived whose clinicians answer questions
while the mom is still undressed and in a johnny, and that is not very
inspiring to new parents, and especially to the woman.

IF anyone has any suggestions for a good practice in Philly, please email
privately. Also, if there are any birthing centers, where perhaps a mother
could labor and go to a hospital if and only if the situation warranted it,
could you let me know? Thanks. This is very helpful, but do send to me at

list about any professional practice. Thank you on behalf of my friend..
