How interesting that your 17-year-old found excuses to be in your bed when
he was traumatised. My 13-year-old daughter refuses to stay in her own bed
when she is sick, but is happy to stay in ours. She also wants lots of body
contact and reassuring cuddles. I can remember when she was smaller and had
a fever, yet refused to lie down. When I tried to send her to bed, she said
in a plaintive wail that I can still clearly recall "But I wanna be wiv YOU!!"
Both babies slept with us, the second, my son, right from birth. He still
likes to crawl in with us in the mornings and his sister usually joins us on
weekends.
It is a lovely family time with lots of cuddles, laughs and tickles.
I'll let you know when the 13-year-old is in the marriage market, Kathleen!
