i am perfectly clear that the pediatrician did not originate the babywise
program; the point is that the clever packaging of the name of a "doctor" gave
this mother the false impression that a "medical expert" had devised or
approved of this program. i am happy to hear that the new edition of christian
parenting is out, the last i had heard was that it was in the works. murderous
and uncharitable thoughts arise in my mind when i contemplate this sort of
stuff (mother bragging baby doesn't need her to get to sleep, and sleeps
twelve hours). aargh, to coin a phrase.
