I am using tea tree oil for my ever ongoing yeast infections, both
vaginal as on my nipples. My current treatment is:

*nystatine on my nipples (I found miconazole more effective but have
become sensitive to that after using it vaginally for several years)
*taking caprylic acid capsulus (helped me when oral ketonazole didn't
help)
*putting a few drups tea tree oil in my (our) daily bath.

with these treatment I keep my thrush under control. When I stop doing
it (eg when my thrush seems to be gone), the thrush comes up again.

I only treat my son when he shows signs of it. I know people will say I
should treat him more, but the yeast is obvious my systemic problem, not
his. I do not want to give him medicines for years.

I have the impression that the tea tree oil helps. I also have a cream
and I did put in on my nipples, but didn't want to do that aymore since
my son still nurses very often and australian people who recommended me
the tea tree oil, told me it could be toxid for children.

But the drups of tea tree oil is my bad seem to help. Last week I was
even vaginally yeast free for a couple of days, until one day I forgot
to put the drups in my bath.

I've also bougth tea tree oil shampoo for my husband who has very very
severe dandruff (also caused by yeast, he uses ketanazole shampoo). I
got rid of my dandruff years ago by keeping my hair very short 0-3cm,
and never using shampoo, only water.
