Talk about barbaric-when I had a c-section 24 years ago the Dr. was giving
me the foot-long needle in the back. When I involuntarily jumped, he
"slapped" me hard on the leg and yelled at me to "Be still!" This was after
he had let me labor over 24 hours and then had looked at my chart and
discovered that months before he figured I would be a c-sec. He had
forgotten.

I just "took" the abuse back then, but now this guy would be in deep trouble.
