I am working with a woman who had the same event with her uterus in labor.
She is certainly grieving.  I have not seen that her milk supply is
depressed, except that she didn't latch on the baby the first few days. Her
first words to me were: " I have milk".  It is such a sad situation for her,
and she is determined to breastfeed.
