Ok Now here is my chance to get some input.
What if this lady calls on the "advice line" for breastfeeding mothers of
the hospital where you are employed as an LC.
You only have her descriptions of the symptoms of thrush to go on ...we do
not diagnosis over the phone. Please help me design the proper tree or
algorithm for this issue. It would require a mother question tree and a
baby question tree? Does IBCLC have algorithms for these common issues? It
sound like issues that we should be consistent with. The scope of practice
does not change from state to state.
The other two that I have to do are "Perceived Insufficient Milk Supply" and
"Over abundant Milk Supply"
(Is "Hyperlactation " a medical diagnosis or a nursing diagnosis.?)
This is a project that I have been working on and I am so stuck as to how to
design this "tree".
