I'm just speculating but a side effect for some people with SSRIs like
Zoloft and possibly the other antidepressant this mom was on is delayed or
absent orgasm.  Since the same hormones mediate both letdown and sexual
response I'm inclined to believe this could be a side effect of this class
of drugs as well.
I hope our medical and pharmacological dear ones will reply to this.
If this mom still needs antidepressants  (and I don't mean to trivialize
this need) perhaps one of the older types (pre SSRI) might be more
appropriate for her.   If she isn't seeing a therapist she most likely
should be.   Withdrawal from many SSRIs must be gradual.  Suicide is a real
risk with depression.   Talk therapy can also be helpful.   I found an
