Before I start commenting on this report, kindly sent by Morgan Gallagher, I want to make a point about the semantics (words use). I cringe at using the heading "baby milks" to denote manufactured "milks" of non-human origin - for feeding human babies. Recently I finalised an article (in press) in which "milk" is human milk (which is the logical usage in writing about humnan babies) and any other milky fluid is called what it is.

Some words in the report from the UK particularly bothered me. It is when an acceptable sgtatement is followecd b y "but" or "hoever", signifying a change of tack ofr a contrast. Readers pick on these changes. In this case it is that "no every mum is able to brestfeed".

> "However, not every mum is able to breastfeed and using normal formula
> feeds can increase the chances of allergy developing in children from
> allergic families.
