Barbara, I didn't see a response to this. According to Murray, in the
"Encyclopedia of Nutritional Supplements", ..."manganese toxicity as a result
of enviromental pollution or mining of manganese is a serious health problem.
In it's most severe forms, manganese toxicity can result in a syndrome called
'manganese madness', which is characterized by severe psychiatric symptoms
such as hallucination, violent acts and hyperirritability". It also inhibits
the absorption of iron, copper and zinc. I do not know how much transfers
into breastmilk at those levels or even what level would really be toxic, but
would suggest she find someone who does. Tom Hale or Jack???
