Question:Wondering if anyone here has an opinion on soy based hand lotion. I have a mother with just enough milk, who has fallen in love with a body lotion containing soy bean oil. We were wondering whether phytoestrogens could be absorbed through the topical application of the soy?

Answer:
I highly doubt it.
The phytoestrogens are quite weak compared to the real thing, and topical application would make passage into breast milk even less likely.
