I found in researching the literature that breastmilk fats are comprised of
both 'new fats' (those recently ingested by the mom) as well as 'old fats'
(those stored from past ingestion).  That is why breastmilk may contain
PCBs and other long-lasting lipophilic chemicals even though the mom may
not have ingested any (or been otherwise exposed) recently.  Again, despite
all this, breast is still best for baby.  See the book chapter I referred
to earlier.
