I found Sandra Steingraber's book, Having Faith: An Ecologist's Journey to Motherhood, to be very helpful on this topic. Dr. Steingraber is currently involved in activism against fracking. She has written several books on the topic of environmental contaminants. http://steingraber.com/

The Toxicology Data Network (TOXNET), from the U.S. Library of Medicine is another helpful resource. http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/

Subject: Toxins in milk

Does anyone have any references or pointers to research or reliable information on toxins in breast milk and an assessment of the risk (or relative lack thereof) posed to the breastfeeding baby/child?  Would appreciate anything.

Many thanks!
