Well I am truly disappointed and depressed.  I have seen two clients in the
last couple of weeks (I work part-time only, so these are ALL the clients I
have seen.)  One was a mother of twins with problems with milk supply; I
just talked with her on the phone and she "gave up" stating that she had no
time while she was pumping, feeding and attempting to spend time with the
other babe (22 mo old).  She also said she gave up b/c her milk was getting
watery!!!!!  

Now, I have a girl that had a totally un-medicated birth b/c she knew that
"her body could do it, b/c that's what it is supposed to do." She is now
grieving the loss of the BRF relationship b/c she has no milk.  Both of
these moms were on Reglan and the last one pumped with a hospital grade
pump.  She is getting only 1.5 ounces from both breasts. She is afraid to
take Fenugreek & blessed thistle along with the Reglan.  So even tho' she
knows what her body is supposed to do she is giving up.  She does not see a
Ped but uses a Family Practioner.  She says that he is very BRF friendly,
however, he refused to clip the frenulum or refer her b/c babe IS capable of
covering the bottom gum, most of the time!  She is using donated milk from
LLL.  That's the other thing; she HAS been attending LLL meetings during
most of her pregnancy.   I saw them at home twice, but now they are going to
OU b/c it's free! How could this be happening?  And what are your thoughts
on Reglan & Fenugreek & BT?
