Dear Becky-
     Has this mother tried a silicone nipple shield?  If the baby refuses the
sheild, perhaps switching to a silicone bottle nipple for bottle feeds, then
trying the sililcone nipple shield again may help.  The shield may be a
helpful tool to help this baby transition from a rigid, quite defined
artificial nipple to her mother's softer natural nipple.
