By the mom gets to our local crisis center breastfeeding is a non issue,
just feeding is the issue. Frankly there is probably no way a woman could
relactate under those circumstances. (staying in a crisis center or temp
shelter housing.)

The place to address the issue of breastfeeding is prenatally(IF she gets
prenatal care) and in the hospital, altho I do try and encourage moms to
relactate early on, if she seems to be having formula difficulties. Once in
a while they take me up on it.

If a mom comes into the hospital and gives a shelter as her address, every
single person on the staff should be helping this woman achieve successful
breastfeeding!
Just my opinionated thoughts. Pat in SNJ
