I was wondering if any of the hospitals use a triage tool for lactation
consults. Specifically, when is the IBCLC called to intervene? What we are
seeing is the LC being paged for everything. Our goal is to develop a tool that
utilizes the time of the LC more efficiently, and encourages the nursery staff
to assist and evaluate first before paging the LC. Any help or ideas would be
appreciated.
