I agree that this is probably not problematic.  A half ounce a day is
actually good weight gain for a baby over 6 months of age.  The DARLING
studies showed that it IS common for breastfed babies to cross
percentile lines downward in weight for age and weight for length after
about 6 months of age.

I find it interesting that the mom is using a controlling pediatrician,
and hesitates to get a second opinion because her husband does not want
to change pedi's.  Sounds like she might have poor boundaries.
