Hi Ilene,

Judy is right about the two studies. Harlow's monkeys are the classic wire
mother/cloth mother experiment.

I wanted to post thought because I think you can still use the corrected
story in your class to make a very valuable point about contact being almost
more important than food for babies!

Oh gosh, Judy, please let me know if what I've been saying all these years
is just a story of two separate studies, LOL!  Seems like the "telephone"
game where things get distorted as they go down the line.  I'm sure I heard
this from someone but it sure did seem unethical.  So I guess it didn't
really happen as told.  Guess I'll be changing that part of the class but it
did fit so well :-)
