Ok now that's a phrase I will, with permission, lovingly lift, "big life
experiences." I think the word "transformative" is too ethereal or nebulous for
some people to identify with,
 ( though I used it just last night while remembering what I "used to be like
" with DH before children...:) but people will understand "big life" - birth
( of any kind) marriage, moving, death, etc are all big life.
Thanks, Barbara, once again a few little words conjure just the picture I
think moms can relate to!
