>>Mom had stated yesterday that her milk =
supply suddenly has disappeared and that she has no idea why.
THEN, mom =
said, well, she had been thinking about it, and maybe it was because she =
was letting her baby sleep 5-6 hours a night since he was one week old. I
asked her if she had been told by someone to allow the baby to sleep. =
Then she mentioned no, that she had read it in two books: The Baby =
Whisperer and Baby Wise.<<

Hi all, I have been off lactnet for a few months d/t a problem computer and
was left to wonder after this post......Has there been a major change and we
are waking babes who sleep longer periods at night now?
It is very common for nursing 2 wk olds to sleep one longer span in a 24hr.
period along with continued great weight gain just as it is common and normal
to sleep no more than 2-3hrs. The problem with EZZO and Babywise is not, imo,
that they encourage Mom to "allow" it but that they encourage them to
"enforce" it!
