I love this topic :-)

My eldest, Matthew (now 11 years old ::sigh::), was 10 months old when I
became pregnant with my second child (What's that I hear? Is that a
collective, "WHAT - IS SHE NUTS?!?" LOL - Yes, I was nuts, and no, it was
not an accident!) He weaned himself 5 months later, at age 15 months. I
don't believe I had any milk at that point in the pregnancy. When his
sister was born four months later, he asked to nurse, which kind of freaked
me out, but I let him try. It was too late to go back; he no longer knew
what to do.

My daughter Sarah was 29 months old (2 yrs & 5 months) when I became
pregnant for the 3rd time (I'd learned my lesson this time <grin>!) She did
NOT wean. Nursed every single day of that pregnancy. Interestingly enough,
by the time her younger brother was born, she had become accustomed to my
NOT having milk, it seems, because when she nursed for the first time after
Joshua was born, she literally spewed the milk out of her mouth and yelled,
"YUCK, what was that?!" LOL! She found the taste quite vile. I thought
that was it, & that she was now going to wean. No :-) She kept at it,
despite her initial dislike. She got over it due to her love for the
nursing relationship, & fell completely in love with breastmilk once again.
We tandem nursed for nearly 2 years.

So, bottom line? My *younger* (at subsequent conception) child WEANED
halfway thru the pregnancy, while the one who was *older* at conception
tandem nursed for 21 months! Figure that one out!

As to when birth occurred, my daughter (child #2) was born 4 days past her
due date, and child #3 (Joshua) was born 8 days past due date. At that
point, I figured I'd better quit while I was ahead. I swear if I'd had a
4th child, he or she would have been born 12 days past due :-)

I'd like to know what age the child was (approx.) when conception
ocurred, what age when birth occurred (in the event that the birth was
at, say, 34 rather than 40 weeks!), and whether or not the child weaned
during pregnancy. If so, did the child come back to the breast after
the birth at all: to taste (yuck), to nurse "on occasion", or "full
steam ahead"?

In the event of several children in one family having done this (nursed
partly/all the way through pregnancy) I'd like to hear about them all.
I'd particularily be interested if any of you have a child who, say,
nursed throughout a pregnancy between 20 and 29 months of age, but
weaned during the next pregnancy, say at 42-51 months or whatever.
