Congratulations on your new baby!

Interesting case you present. I would have expected the pain would be worse
while sitting, but mum says it is worse while laying. Here are some
thoughts: could it be some kind of referred pain from the post op c/s and
really not related to the bf? In other words, it is just coincidence that
she is also bf. In this case, perhaps some of the anti-depressant type drugs
used for nerve pain may help? I'm not real sure of the meds but sure it
would be fairly easy to search info on this type of med use. Elavil (brand
name)? Herpes can cause severe labial pain. Any hx of that? When one is
run-down and stressed, herpes tends to flare up. Post op and new baby are a
time of tiredness, stress of course. Could she use a cold pack or warmth
(whatever works best) there? Anti-inflammatory meds? As you can see I am
coming from a Western medicine perspective, perhaps accupuncture or some
other type 'alternative' modality would help?
