Dear Friends,
As per usual in this country, the US, poor people, especially if you are
young and black, are being told what to do. I just mentioned this at our
breakfast table and my youngest who turns 18 today, said, "Isn't that
forced sterilization?" Isn't it? Not permanent but same idea. Is a good
conversation about birth control appropriate? Yes! But people get to
make choices about their lives.
On another note, what about increased odds of infection? I thought we
were suppose to leave things to heal before putting foreign matter into
them. I cannot believe that uterine infection would not increase which
can be life threatening.
Thank you,
