I've had conflicting info on whether growth hormones in meat are
physiologically active in humans and whether they can pass into breastmilk.
I've had a bit of a search around for Barbara Gross' study that found that
menses returned sooner in breastfeeding women who ate more chicken but
haven't been able to find it. Don't know if it has been published yet.I
know they had to wait for the big WHO study on LAM to be published before
individual centres could publish. Does anyone have any idea why eating
chilcken would result in women resuming menses sooner. I had assumed that
it was something to do with hormones in the chicken? What other possible
reasons could there be?
