I'm sorry All, I can't resist:
If the pasties only cover her areolas, what is covering the nipples? :)
Seriously Folks.....
I would be concerned more about whether the glue to keep the pasties on would
irritate her areolas and nipples and whether or not it will leave a nasty
tasting residue that the baby won't like. Does this mom have to wear
pasties? Can she wear a string bikini type top instead? I think the pumping
frequently during her shift is the best idea.
In regards to milkShakes (cute one, Pam!) baby may like that! When I had my
consult with Chele Marmet in Oct of 94 (to figure out why Ben gave me
hamburger nipples), we fed Ben some EBM, then he got fussy. Chele was
holding Ben and started to gently bounce him around to calm him and was
sing-songy singing "Milkshake! Milkshake!" It was really funny. Since then
I've played the "milkshake" game with Ben and my friends babies. The babies
love it, and my friends get a good laugh too!
