It did not strike me as odd that the child evidently
was (& probably still is) breastfeeding.  The article
was reprinted in the Sunday paper today & mentioned
that the child was a member of a nomadic tribe in
Iran.  I think it would be most odd if the child was
not currently still being breastfed by his mother as I
don't think many nomads would carry along bottles,
teats & ABM.  The child is also most likely Muslim,
and I think the Koran has a verse about allowing a
child to nurse for at least 2 years.
