A quick note regarding two points:

1. Please keep OT posts off list if at all possible, especially when
they are *really* way off topic.

2. Please, if you have an issue with another professional, be it the
president of the AAP, or anyone, and wish to change something that the
aforementioned person has done, believes, etc, direct comments to them
personally. Offhand comments,  remarks etc placed  here on the list do
not show the respect that we all would appreciate and deserve.  It is
one thing to disagree with someone. It is another to take it to a list
and drag said person or persons through the internet "mud." Thank you
for showing the same respect that you yourselves would want to have
shown to you.
