It's so important to note how much a mother's trust in herself and the
process (of breastfeeding) affects her success in breastfeeding her child.
Thank you so much for I have to say, coming from the view of a childbirth
educator, that this is the root of it all - trust in our bodies!! Our
families need to *trust in their abilities* to instinctively birth and feed
their children. I do have to note that it seems to me instincts do not play
a big part in most people's experiences. We have learned to stiffle that
voice....

I do have a question for you, Tina. You might laugh, but here goes. It used
to be a common thing to say "I'm not hungry, my stomach shrunk". I have held
that belief for a long time that our stomachs would stretch and shrink.
However, I was told by a dr. once that that is completely untrue. So I
found it interesting, and it made sense, what you were saying about the ducts
stretching. Is it really true that some of our organs stretch and shrink??
