Must also plead guilty to voicing disgust at TV, radio and computer screen.
Would like to encourage you all to turn your load groans into short pithy
messages which you can send by e-mail to the offending medium; surprisingly
often, they elicit responses and it is MUCH more gratifying than simply
groaning loudly in the privacy of your own sofa or starting a Facebook
group, (to which I must also plead guilty). Letters to the editor are IMO
more satisfying and arguably more effective than either yelling at the TV or
starting FB groups. If yelling is how you focus your energy before running
to the computer to compose a letter, then more power to you. If it's the
end of it, maybe you should invest in some shopping bags and fill them with
detritus and start hanging around bus terminals and do your yelling like a
full-fledged bag lady, or at least prepare yourself for a long haul, because
guess what? The network executives can't actually HEAR you through the TV!

My daughter as a preschooler once called out to the protagonist in a puppet
show who was going on and on about some existential problem in his life,
'But don't you see, you are only a PUPPET!' which for somehow embodies the
innate ridiculousness of yelling at TVs, etc. She was trying to convince
him that his concern was silly because he didn't really exist as an entity
in his own right, but she saw no contradiction in shouting this directly to
him. She now writes letters to the editor, as does her little brother.

I think there just might have been something in their early diet that passed
this trait along, something that promotes the ability to engage. Can't think
what it might have been :-)
