I do not understand
*!*!*!*!the idea that the pituitary might "squash" the effect
*!*!*!*!of the reglan; am I missing something here? If they
*!*!*!*!have written this mom off, have they decided what is
*!*!*!*!not working properly?

My impression is that they have decided that the problem is with her
pituitary and it is too dangerous to try to fix it *just* for the sake
of breastfeeding. The attitude seems to be that "it is what it is" and
that she will always have a non-lactating level of prolactin due to
whatever is wrong with her pituitary - so be it. There seems no genuine
concern about WHAT is wrong. Again, this is mostly second hand through
Mom. But my impression about the "squash" comment is just that the
pituitary is so dysfunctional that it will work to LOWER her prolactin
levels back down to where they should be (non-lactating) in order to
counter the Reglan. This sounds SO bogus to me but I have no medical
info to counter it or back it up.

Does anyone know the relationship between Hashimotos and the pituitary?
Oh and someone else asked - can't remember if I updated - but her
testosterone tested normal. She does not have PCOS or diabetes or any
other disease that she knows of, other than Hashimoto's.
