Good news for the Heartland! Indiana has opened its first milk bank.
Here's a website with the press info:
http://www.insideindianabusiness.com/newsitem.asp?id=14748

Here's the Bank's website, though it isn't finished yet:

Of interest to those who know about my job woes of a few years ago: the
hospital system who sponsored the opening of this milk bank is the one I
worked for and the lady who is the chairwoman of the board, who is
interviewed regarding the milk bank, is the one responsible for firing me
per the doctor's wishes! Other than that, the LC's involved in the bank are
top notch (not their fault they work for her...) and the new co-director of
the milk bank is Donna Miracle, who worked with Paula Meier and has
participated on our state committee to form a state plan to improve
breastfeeding support! We're very excited for our state! (As an aside, I
can't possibly go into my feelings about the politics involved in this
situation. While it is painful to me, the bank will be a good thing for
babies in our area and for that, I am happy.)

Marsha
