What is interesting is that people will discuss how breastfeeding needs to be
done in private like other bodily functions, i.e., you wouldn't urinate in
public, you wouldn't have sex in public, etc. However, somehow they fail to
understand that this is EATING, and one EATS in public. Babies do it,
children do it, grownups do it. The Romans did it lying down; some do it
squatting, some do it sitting crosslegged, some do it sitting in a chair.
Some do it in plain restaurants, some do it at church suppers, some do it in
the car, some do it in the park, some do it at fancy restaurants...we all do
it. Eat that is. Why must breastfeeding be looked at as something different
than eating???
