I've suspected that mine were the 'spiritual' postings on breastfeeding that
made some folks uncomfortable. I really appreciated Dr. Jon's post the other
day as it said so much I had been thinking but unable to put into words. I
just wanted to echo some of those thoughts. I, first, want to apologize to
anyone who was offended. My intention was not to attempt to sway or convert
anyone, and am truly sorry if I made you uncomfortable.

My desire was to express my extreme frustration at a circumstance that to my
way of thinking should never even occur -a mother feeling torn or pressured
in a place where she should be receiving affirmation. I do feel very
deeply/strongly about this, and obviously that was apparent in my expression
of those feelings. Also those feelings tend to be bottled up, due to the
fact, that everyone except other breastfeeding oriented folks think I am
obviously 'too obsessed' with what they see as an unimportant issue.
For me it is difficult to separate the spiritual part from the
logical/political part of this discussion due to the fact that from my
perspective if the spiritual part was seen correctly (no matter what faith is
represented) there would be no further discussion needed on this issue. So,
if I feel the need to comment on this in future I will attempt to step back a
bit, and be more 'politically correct'.
