I have used a similar approach when asked how often baby should eat. A mom
wants to stretch a baby under 5 months to every 4 hours. I ask her if she
eats anything after breakfast and before lunch. She informs me that she
drinks water all day and snacks. This helps her realize that her baby might
also need some "snacks" between long feedings throughout the day when it
comes to breastfeeding.
