This is a link to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. It is an
official copy, and can be hard to read, but Section 108 deals
exclusively with employees of Local Elementary and Secondary Schools.

I hope yound this useful.

For the person who wrote regarding a Student: This situation is
different as most states have a number of days attended policy with
regard to advancement. However, many areas have alternatives, such as
Home Study, where the student works at home and a teacher/social worker
supervises their work. Many schools in my area do not make this an easy
option. (They seem to be under the impression that if they make it
really difficult to procure materials, the girl might be able to become
un-pregnant) Check with your local schoolboard. HomeSchooling is always
an option, too. And the Home School Legal Defense Asociation will gladly
send you the guidelines for your state. Link to HLDA here:

I hope this is helpful to Nursing Mommies, Teacher or Parent!
