I agree wholeheartedly with this.  Those of us with sorting options on our
mailreaders really appreciate being able to sort by subject automatically
and read an entire thread front to back.  These rely on the *same words* as
the subject, but having just the subject is really helpful.  I skip the ones
that are meaningless.

I don't think it is necessary to quote extensively, but I feel it is
imperative to quote a little bit.  With the lack of appropriate subject
lines, quoting something from the original post is very helpful so that
context can be established.

I think huge sig files are a problem, but I haven't noticed any on this
list.  I ignore the ones that I'm not interested in, and savor the ones I
am.  The ones I have a problem with are the ones that never change, as they
don't show any thoughtfulness, and the ones that are excessively wordy
surrounded by white space.

On that note, I'm going nomail for awhile.  I have too much email to cope
with as I just downloaded over a hundred messages accumulated since last
night.  I have to cut back on my computer time.  I'll be back later.
