I found it hard to snip just one part of Jessica's message to respond to. I especially like how you keep doors open and are respectful of the mother's choice to have or not have the information that you have to share, Jessica. The Ezzo parenting course is very popular here (Northern British Columbia, Canada) as well. To counter it, the manager of the local Bible bookstore found a booklet which counters Growing Kids God's Way within a Christian context. It uses scripture to support an attachment parenting perspective. I have recently handed several out to new parents who have identified themselves as Christians. I feel this booklet is a powerful tool because it affirms their core beliefs while giving them another perspective on parenting to consider. It has completely changed the course of parenting for at least two couples whom I gave it to, and modified the strict scheduling ideas in the other two. UNTO THE LEAST OF THESE Godly Parenting of Your Baby, Myths and Reality is written by Rebecca Lewis, and you can read an on-line review at http://www.mailing-list.net/redrhino/Ezzo/lewis.html

There is a popular program (especially here in the South where I

This program advocates scheduled feedings as a part of obeying the will of
God and teaching discipline and obedience to one's children. Maybe this
woman believes in that system.
