Kathy I couldn't agree more! I am appalled at what is done to babies here
in the nursery and without the parent's permission! I'm not just referring
to blood sugar levels. What about heel pricks for TSB (jaundice test) and
those pacifiers and bottles of formula! Many parent's have no idea what has
been done (how often) or why. If someone wanted to prick *my* baby I would
want a heap of information first before deciding whether I would allow the
procedure. And I would want to be there to comfort my baby! What about the
legal issues? Carrying out a procedure on a baby without permission from
the parents?
