Wow,
I've had the most unusual calls this week. This mom called me, looking for
LLL. Then she started with her story and her questions. She has a 4 yr
old who has hypothyroid, reflux and an immune deficiency. She just found
out that she is pregnant. Although the 4 yr. old has never been healthy,
of course, he was healthier while she was nursing. He will be hospitalized
again next week for tests to determine whether they want to start IV gamma
globulin treatments. He is only 28lbs. He is sick all the time and on
antibiotics ALL the time. She has taken him to a Chiro. and he gets
Echanacea often.

Any way her question is...... would breast milk help him? She was thinking
about when her new baby is born in 7 months!! I have no literature on
this. I think it really would help. I asked her to consider a milk bank
and go on and try it. I gave her the # of the milk bank in Triangle N.C.
I also suggested she call LLLI and Betty Crase @ THe Center for
Breastfeeding Information.

Would breast milk help him??? How much would he need to make a difference??
She says her best friend would donate. I suggested that her friend be tested.

Help!

I do want to say that I got more posts about using all capital letters,
last time, than I did responding to questions I had. Please respond to
this, she is really desparate.
