Does anyone have any experience with abdominal pain/colic in a breastfed
infant whose mom is on warfarin?

I've been working with a mom of a four week old colicky baby. Mom has been
treated with a decreasing dose of warfarin (dosage now 5mg) for deep vein
thrombosis since shortly after delivery.

Mom is exclusively nursing. Despite having received several medical
opinions on the safety of warfarin, she is concerned that it might be
contributing to her baby's evident abdominal pain. Mom has been on a
dairy-free diet for 5+ days, and sees no improvement. As stomach pain is
listed as a side-effect for mom, she is concerned that the colic pains
might be a sign of overdose in her baby. We have worked with several
colic-relief strategies with no results as yet.

I would appreciate any feedback regarding this. TIA!
