Absolutely.  My younger would ask to "iss-iss", expanded later to "issing
now, please," or sometimes, to be cute, spelled out "I-S-S", and still
later, marching up to me at bedtime, "I'm here for the official iss."

His older brother could get almost anything he wanted by cajoling us with
"Please for all my heart and love and care?" Younger brother realized this
was a very valuable phrase to know, and would ask compellingly, "Peas,
hahvancare?"  Who could say no?
