please, all, watch the cc's when you respond to a post on the list! my
understanding of netiquette, and perhaps, specifically, the lactnet
guidelines, is that private emails that are a response to a lactnet post
should NOT be reposted to the list with a response, but responded to
prvately instead. I recently emailed a private response (not inflammatory
at all, just an inquiry and a comment, by the way) to one of the members of
lactnet who posted about a situation. my private response was reposted to
lactnet today, with a response to that (which was also cc'd to me
yesterday, so i did get her response as well.). Am i correct in my
understanding of the guidelines? this particular post wasn't of a personal
nature, so it's not a big deal, yet it was about a medical situation and i
would prefer that my name and comments not be connected publicly with such
potentially complicated issues, unless i intend for it to be, in which case
i will post to the list. someone enlighten or confirm my understanding??
thanks! :-)
