Well we have almost eliminated all the postures available for babies' sleep.

We should put a disclaimer on all babies as they leave the hospital:

CAUTION, SLEEPING MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR BABIES HEALTH Can't sleep on stomachs, risk of SIDS.
Can't sleep on sides, might roll onto stomach.
Can't sleep on back, might aspirate.
Can't sleep bundled (why not?),
which means we can't hang them on our backs papoose style, either.

Can't co-sleep with big-breasted moms,
might smother the babies under their breasts.
Can't co-sleep with small breasted moms,
might smother the babies in the covers.
And fathers might roll over on their babies and smother them.

What's left? We can walk around holding them all the time, never getting any sleep ourselves. Or we could hang them in bungie-style harnesses, with neck braces. Or we could put monitors in every discharge pack, to attach at bedtime and to beep every time an infant gets apneic or bradycardic..... (YOUR SUGGESTION GOES HERE)
