Karen:

   I have recently worked with a mother whose nipple "crack" (i do have a
picture) took the better part of 4 months to heal and at 5 months her nipple
is still so sensitive to touch that she wears a shell ALL the time....

    I think it may be time for your mother to see a bf friendly
dermatologist...
