Thank you for contacting the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.  In the next week, IBCLCs will be receiving a detailed communication via e-mail regarding transition to new identification numbers. IBLCE is 
transitioning to a new credentialing management system requiring all 
IBCLC ID numbers to change.  
 
IBLCE is in a transitional period and will be phasing new numbers in as certificants recertify.  Please carefully note that the Old ID numbers will continue to be valid for verification purposes. New candidates will be receiving exclusively the new identification numbers, denoted by a prefix of L-______ .  Employers may submit a verification form located on the IBLCE website, click here to access the form.
