Okay, okay.  Zoonoses (ZOH-oh-NO-seez) is the pural of zoonosis, which is a
disease that can be transmitted to humans from other vertebrate species -
as I now know from looking it up.  But all I could picture at first was a
bunch of camel snouts pushing thru the bars - a whole row of zoo noses.
