Kim William's post re: LCs and pump rentals and about Karen Zaretzke
[personally] was an example recently, of what **not** to do on Lactnet. That
is, one should not publically damage and impune another person's reputation
without hard, solid proof, and maybe not even then.

Just to set the record straight, Karen, and many other LCs, err on the
side of NOT presenting the mother with a pump, or another piece of
equipment, for fear of being accused of being "greedy", etc....in it for the
money [ha! this makes me laugh. What LC do you know makes any money doing
this?]. : /

I have asked Ms. Williams to apologize to Karen Z, and so far, she has
declined to do so. But let me reassure everyone that Karen Zaretzke has a
true sense of professionalism, and professional integrity. Please think of
this when you post...to a large group such as Lactnet, or to any other
public group. What is it you are hoping to get out of posting to Lactnet,
and why do some of us post things that we know will be damaging,
inflammatory, or hurtful? Because, perhaps, we have an ulterior motive
ourselves, or perhaps, some of us may have some affiliation or allegiance
that may be *itself* be threatened? Interesting thought.

The fact that Kim Williams has not apologized for her post tells us
something, or may be a few somethings...and I am not even going to say what
it all makes me think. The quote "Me thinks thou doth protest too much" does
come to mind, however...

Let it be publically known that Karen Zaretzke is not a greedy LC, and did
not deserve that comment. I do not wish to see further personally attacking
posts on Lactnet in the future.
